Vice President-JD Vance Speaks To Reporters in Fairview, NC

“We’re not abandoning this nomination,” Vice President-elect JD Vance told reporters on the nomination of Pete Hegseth to lead the Department of Defense while visiting Fairview, North Carolina, to survey damage from Hurricane Helene. He expressed frustration with insurance companies and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for what he called a slow response to assist those impacted by the storm.
