How Hard is it to Enter the Kingdom of God?

How difficult is it to enter God's Kingdom? Jesus said that God the Father is glad to give us the Kingdom. (Luke 12:32) This statement suggests that it isn't difficult. "Give" implies no cost, and "glad" means that God is happy when He gives us entrance or access. But Jesus also said it is hard for some people to enter the Kingdom (Luke 18:24-25). So, is it hard to inherit God's Kingdom or not?
