Pwnery's Firearm Reviews - S&W 629 Competitor in .44 Magnum

Hello, and welcome back to Pwnery's Firearm Reviews. Today's release is actually the 2nd handgun I ever purchased - the first being the Walther PPK (obviously). In any event, this is the pinnacle of S&W's Performance center offerings in .44 Magnum in terms of customizability and, well ... performance.

Some of you more eagle-eyed viewers will probably recognize this particular revolver from either a very popular post-apocalyptic video game, or from an incredibly long-running action movie involving lots of cars, and insane stunts.

Today I'll you tell you the story of how and why I got it, as well as go through the basics, the unboxing, my impressions, and just a very light touch-and-go review of a gun that some of you may have never seen before. Coincidentally, you can still get these for pretty close to what I paid for it nearly 12 or 13 years ago... a bit of a rarity considering how most Smiths will tend to trend upwards over time.

So anyway - sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Thanks for watching, subscribing, sharing, and tolerating me fumbling through these reviews. Since I'm a self-funded operation, they do tend to come few and far between, but I'm sitting on a small stable of future reviews that I just hadn't had the time to sit down and really get filmed and uploaded - hopefully that'll change soon.

Sadly, this was one of two of my collection that I had sold to help a friend in need. I doubt I'll ever get another one, but it was nice while it lasted... almost 10 years in my possession.
