Light travels at absolute speed.

The speed of light radiating from the Sun and all Stars, is absolute.
A light source will radiate it’s light, to as far as it is going to reach, at absolute speed. There is no travel time. The speed is beyond your comprehension. Obviously.
If you can’t see a light source as soon as it’s turned on, you won’t see it. It will not catch up with you in a few days, because it’s travelling towards you at the speed of light. Only increasing the power of the light source, or moving it closer, or you moving closer, will change that.
There is no light without a source. It’s absolute. If the source is turned off or disappears, light disappears with it.
Slam Dunk.
