Sorry I didn't write a description in a timely manner.. I didn't realize this was to be published today! One of my pet peeves with youtube.. it's not that easy to organize your videos to publish.. they need to improve the way that content creators view their scheduled videos...

OK, well about this video. I left much of the audio for this video, omitting only parts of the conversation that I thought should remain private. I found our conversation here to be very interesting, and I agree with many of you that this man has a very interesting profession. I also, want to hear more about it! This is an example of what I love about what I do.. I have the opportunity to spend some extended time with some patients, and I learn so much from them and their world, and many times it's very fascinating. I wouldn't have this opportunity if I just saw patients for 10 minute increments for their acne, warts, or body exams, or if my patients were under general anesthesia during surgical procedures. So, this is one of the reasons I love doing minor surgical procedures in office.

In regards to the ever present question: Punch vs surgical blade? Well, I'm working on a video to explain this. In a nutshell, though, there is overlap in terms of the choice I make, but there are many things I think about including the body area, the age of the patient, the laxity of the skin, the size of the growth to be removed.. so many factors go into this decision making process, and in many situations, either a punch or a surgical blade can be used. I promise I'll go into more detail in a future video...
In the meantime.. thank you for watching!!
