EVIL Hiding In Plain Sight…The Russia / Ukraine War!!!

The new year is almost here, and many people have been asking me questions about some big issues they are concerned about looking ahead to 2025. The biblical perspective is always the right perspective, and the only real provider of wisdom, to answer any question. God‘s Word is always true and never fails! These are 10 of the most asked questions (in terms of subject area) that I received and wanted to address. May it bring encouragement to those who asked and others who may have the same questions for the coming year!

01:46 - Question #1: There is a lot of media rhetoric that has confused many people, including my Christian friends, about the conflict between Israel and Hamas. I don’t always know how to respond. Why are Christians supposed to support Israel?

05:36 - Question #2: A lot of Christians in the United States view Ukraine with sympathy, and look at Russia as an evil dictatorship. I think the leaders of both countries are engaged in evil, and our country has made it worse by funding a winless war and no efforts at diplomacy. What is the truth about this conflict and where it is going?

09:55 - Question #3: What does the Bible say, if anything, about alliances between or against nations in the last days? There is a lot of speculation about China and Taiwan, North Korea, etc. How do we live in faith and not fear?

FINANCES
14:01 - Questions #1: As Christians, what is our true financial responsibility? In other words, how are we to prioritize needs, doing things we want, giving to others, giving to the church, etc.? It’s hard to not always feel underwater and unsure of what to do.

17:35 - Question #2: Christmas is almost here. A lot of people seem to forget the real reason that we celebrate Christmas. I don’t want to be a Scrooge and not do want to have a giving and joyful spirit, but it feels very commercialized and potentially financially draining beyond just the season, into 2025. How should believers be approaching this holiday season?

22:25 - Question #3: What does the Bible say, if anything, about investing? I hear a lot of interesting ideas and often want to get involved in something like that to try and get ahead, but I have no idea if it’s even biblical or where to begin. It seems like the new year could be the right time to take action!

FAMILY
28:56 - Question #1: As Christian parents, how do we respond to children claiming gender confusion, sexual identity conflicts or similar rhetoric being shared with our kids?

34:49 - Question #2: How do husbands and wives handle disagreements about serious issues, such as intimacy, career changes, children, etc.? it’s very difficult to not isolate or become resentful. Maybe that does not happen as much if both the husband and wife are believers. Is submission still required to my unbelieving spouse?

40:57 - Question #3: As a single Christian, is it OK to pursue someone who is at least open to God if that person is not a believer? It’s hard to get older and look around only to see no one on the horizon. That can’t be what God wants for me, can it?

45:35 - Question #4: If the Lord tarries, what should I be focusing on in 2025? I always make the mistake of New Year’s resolutions that never go anywhere. I don’t always read my Bible like I should, or even know if I hear God‘s voice. What can I do in the new year so I can finally see something change in my life and feel like I have a purpose?
