Hello everyone. In tonight's Bible study we continue looking into God's description of the new birth, being born again, or born from above.

What does that word born mean? It means to be created. Created? Do you mean like out of nothing?

Yes, exactly. God creates a new believer out of nothing then inserts that new believer back into their old bodies. What?!! I know that hard to believe nevertheless that's exactly what the scriptures teach.

Then what happens to the old me, my old human spirit? Oh, that one. Well, God kills him. Wait, what?!!! What do you mean by "God kills him."?

No sir, no mam, it's not what do I mean because I didn't say that, God did. Will you listen to the scriptures:
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Colossians 2:20
Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations

Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Now, who said you died? How did you die? Who killed you? The Jews, the Romans? Of course not. God did.

Today's study is 1 hour and 3 minutes in duration. I have broken it into two segments. This is segment 1 of 2 titled God describes the new birth in Jeremiah. Part 1
