So if you lost 30lbs over a year, 15lbs would be almost muscle, and then you’d gain back potentially 20lbs, and it would be primarily fat. Your BMI would actually be higher after stopping than when you started.

Unless you are in the morbidly obese category, you might want to steer clear of these; learning a therapy like fasting is a much better, healthier sustainable option.
