Minnesota police investigated a bomb threat at Brian Thompson's home just 12 hours.

The development comes as investigators have zeroed in on a gun store in Connecticut where they suspect Thompson's k*ller purchased the gun.

At the moment, it's unclear if the bomb threat was connected to the sh**ting however the timing is very suspicious.

According to the New York Times, investigators say they believe the gun is connected to a Connecticut gun shop and are "trying to determine whether the buyer of the gun could be the suspect."

The Times also reports that officers in Maple Grove, Minnesota investigated a bomb threat at Thompson's MN home just hours before he was k*lled.

"A police report released Thursday says the small suburban department sought help from the Minneapolis bomb squad as they searched two residences fruitlessly," the Times reported.
