### Iniquity, Forgiveness, and the Power of Pardon
In this continuation of a Bible study, the speaker delves into the crucial difference between **pardon** and **forgiveness**. The message explains that while forgiveness is about overlooking a sin, pardon is the complete removal of an offense from the offender. The talk clarifies that individual sins have names, but iniquity does not; it is a deep-seated spiritual issue, a "perversion of an imagination," that is too great for a person to handle alone. The discussion highlights biblical examples from Psalm 25 and Psalm 51, as well as the Day of Atonement, to illustrate how iniquity is a generational stronghold that can only be removed by God's power. The video concludes by teaching a simple yet powerful prayer to acknowledge and ask God to pardon these iniquities.

- There is a biblical difference between forgiveness and pardon; forgiveness overlooks an offense, while pardon removes it entirely.
- Individual sins have names (theft, murder), but iniquity is an unnamed, deep-seated perversion of the imagination.
- Iniquity is a spiritual stronghold that can be too great for a person to overcome on their own.
- The prayer in Psalm 25:11, "Pardon my iniquity for it is great," is a powerful example of how to pray.
- David's prayer in Psalm 51 acknowledges transgression, iniquity, and sin, showing a need for God to "wash" and "blot out" these issues.
- The Day of Atonement and the scapegoat are used as a picture of iniquity being confessed and removed completely, as far as the East is from the West.
- Iniquity is a generational issue, passed down from the fathers, and can take jurisdiction in a person's life.
- The prayer for pardon should be a consistent part of a believer's life to find freedom from these strongholds.

The video concludes by asserting that iniquity is a generational spiritual stronghold that is too powerful for a person to overcome on their own. The ultimate takeaway is that the simple prayer of acknowledging and asking God to pardon these iniquities, and the iniquities of our fathers, is a powerful tool that brings profound freedom. The speaker challenges listeners to make this prayer a strong part of their lives, not only for themselves but for their families as well.

Our belief is that God desires relationship with man, the species. Whether Bible teaching, prayer, our redemption, making disciples—whatever the spiritual activity, relationship with man is and has been Father’s goal. He, as Creator, has the right to tell the created creature, man, how life is to work. His Word is often focused on how to have a relationship with Him, why we lack that relationship, and the reasons for the lack. The most commonly taught reason for loss of relationship with God is sin; but there are two other reasons given for relationship loss—iniquity and transgression. These teachings have been found by many to be vital in their understanding and the seeking of deeper relationship with God.
