Tasting Snake Venom beer which is 67.5% alcohol

The high alcohol beer was met with HUGELY variable reviews in my group.  The guy who leads our Scotch tasting group and I found it very interesting, and actually good.  The value of the journey was high for us, as it changed flavors as it aired out and as we got accustomed to it.  I regret not buying more.  Another friend described it as ass, feet, and gym socks with gasoline and completely undrinkable.  Another who isn't particularly into tasting, just kind of rates things as good/bad/whatever, though it was whatever.
