Hannity: “Before your committee, you’ll have Pam Bondi, you’ll have Kash Patel, we got Pete Hegseth, we got Robert F. Kennedy Jr., we got Tulsi Gabbard. Democrats seem to be salivating. They want as many scalps, if you will, as possible. The smearing, the lying, the slandering, it’s par for for the course, but it’s going on. Will the president get the cabinet that he wants?”
Graham: “Well, I think — I’m on Judiciary Committee. Pam Bondi will come out of the committee with all Republicans and I think some Democrats because she’s an incredibly qualified, very ethical, former attorney general of Florida. No better pick for attorney general. Kash Patel, counterterrorism prosecutor, understands the government. And if the FBI doesn’t need to be cleaned out, what does? So, yeah, he will make it out of committee. I don’t know if we get any Democrats, but I think he will get all Republicans. I’m a big fan of his choice to be FBI director. I’ve known Pete for a long time, I served with him in Afghanistan. The people over there said nothing but great things about him. The allegations against Pete are all anonymous sources. I am not going to make any decision based on an anonymous source. If you are not willing to raise your hand under oath and make the accusation, it doesn’t count. I’ve heard everything about all these people, None of it counts. No rumors, no innuendo — “
Hannity: “But you were there for the Kavanaugh hearings.”
Graham: “I’ve seen this movie before.”
Hannity: “Maybe your finest moment in the U.S. Senate, because you got pissed off because the stories kept changing, more evidence came out and it was clear to me that we weren’t getting told the truth the whole time.”
Graham: “Well, it was a bunch of anonymous sources, and the people that did come forward, it made no sense. They were trying to destroy Judge Kavanaugh’s life. The accusations being made are anonymous. But if people do raise their right hand and claim something bad happened, I will listen to them. It’s up to the nominee to go through the committee and answer hard questions. It’s my belief that presidents deserve their cabinet unless there’s a good reason to say no. All I can say is that Democrats want to talk about confirmation drama, I want to talk about securing the border and cutting taxes. This is a diversion. But I will say this. The confirmation process for both sides, you should find out who you are putting in these important jobs and time will tell if there’s anything serious here. Allegations that are anonymous don’t count.”
