The Mummy's Hand (1940)

The first installment in Universal's Mummy series to feature a new character, Kharis, the revived ancient mummy. Directed by Christy Cabanne, the film follows two archaeologists who discover the tomb of Princess Ananka in Egypt and unwittingly awaken Kharis, the cursed guardian of her tomb. As Kharis embarks on a relentless mission to protect the princess's remains, he terrorizes those who threaten her legacy.
