Pet of the Week: Sugar Baby at Whiteside County Animal Adoption Center

Don’t let Sugar Baby’s crabby growls fool you – she loves being snuggled. She’s laid back and curious – if there’s a hole she can fit in, she’s going to test it out!

Sugar Baby came to Whiteside County Animal Adoption Center (WCAAC) early this year when her family was having a human baby. She’ll take some time to adjust to other cats and dogs but will be great with kids. It’s time for her to retire as the WCAAC office cat and find a “fur-ever” home. Guest Krystal Spencer says Sugar Baby will have a ball in her new home this holiday season, “probably demolishing someone’s Christmas tree.” Just have the catnip and toys ready for her!

Spencer encourages families to be responsible when adopting pets at holiday time. “Don’t rehome your current pets to make room for new ones,” she says.

In this season of giving, WCAAC is always looking for donations. Cat litter is always the biggest request. Gifts of pet toys and carriers are also appreciated. Additionally, monetary donations may be designated for general or specific needs.
