Alan Mack, a decorated pilot with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, has been at the helm of pivotal missions in modern U.S. military history. Flying the MH-47 Chinook, he was among the first pilots to land in Afghanistan and Mazar-e-Sharif following 9/11, playing a key role in the Global War on Terror. His service includes Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Anaconda, where he showcased his expertise supporting ground forces under fire. Mack was integral to the rescue of Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell during Operation Red Wings, the "Lone Survivor" mission, and participated in numerous classified operations critical to national security. With over 6,700 flight hours—3,200 using night vision—his skill under extreme conditions earned him the Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Crosses, Bronze Stars, and more, cementing his legacy as one of the military’s most accomplished pilots.
