The American flag and the U.S. Constitution are among a list of "props" banned by Edison, New Jersey.

It’s my constitutional right,” Joel Bassoff said to council president Nishith Patel, holding up an American flag. “If you get sued, you will lose. My suggestion to you is that you get a second opinion from competent council because you are wrong.”

“Your time should be forfeited. Your position should be forfeited. By your actions, you forfeited every right to preside over this meeting.”

Bassoff was then escorted out of the meeting by police.
