Riot Games BANNING Players For Off-Platform Speech! BAD News!

Riot Games is instituting a policy that would see them assume the role of moral arbiter for their entire player base beginning in the new year. The League of Legends developers now can issue in game penalties to players for their out of game conduct as long as the game is running. You don't have to be actively playing a game, but if you want to voice your displeasure on a round of Valorant, you could be penalized.

This is an extrapolation of measures taken earlier this year and shows you how slippery the censorship slope is in gaming. Trash talking used to be a staple of online play, now it is being sanitized and replaced with inauthentic compelled speech. Yay...
