Like Father like son - Righteous Rebellion part 2, Terah, Abram, Nimrod and Noah #jesus

The back story matters, and tonight is part 2 of Righteous Rebellion.

Tonight we're going to find out where Abram learned about God, but we're going to dive into who taught Abram rebellion to begin with.

His father Terah was the top general in Nimrod's Army, and he defied direct orders.from Nimrod who wanted to destroy Abram after astrologers saw a sign in the stars.

The origin story matters...this is why movies and great stories give you the origin in order to bring you into understanding.

So what's the deal with Christianity, isn't the origin story Jesus?

Yes - John 1:1 helps fill things in:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

While that's the World's origin story - where does our faith begin? Where's our backstory? Who's Abraham and why is he called the father to many generations?

To add to this - what's Abraham's backstory...?

The Church won't tell you that the beginning and end moves of God through us, His people - start and end with righteous rebellion.

Why does this matter? The long game of our faith is drawing us closer and deeper into the fabric of that rebellion - from culture, community and accord with doctrines of demons that the enemy has laid before us to destroy us.

This might need to become a series...
