NBC26 Storm Shield Weather Forecast

The 4th will be a hot and humid day with a cold front approaching. We can expect a mix of clouds & sun with a chance for an isolated shower/storm. Highs will top out in the lower 90s with cooler conditions near Lake Michigan. Heat index values will be near 100°!! Although it appears Fireworks displays across the area Wednesday eveing will be dry....it's going to be a close call. A thunderstorm complex will be approaching form the NW after 9pm. The Storm Prediction Center has a marginal risk of severe weather for the area tomorrow evening from the Fox Cities to Kewaunee and north.The greater risk of more organized strong and severe thunderstorms will be confined to Northwest Wisconsin and Minnesota. The chance of storms will continue into Thursday ahead of a cold front. After that, we'll have some more comfortable conditions on Friday.
