Trip from Sunstone Area to Princess Creek Campground at Odell Lake

Going from the Sunstone Public Collection Area, in South-Central Oregon, West to Princess Creek Campground at Odell Lake. (And a drive through the campground)

Odell Lake is managed as a trophy lake trout fishery. The current record trout caught there was 40 lb 8 oz 45.5 inch long. The large lake is 3562 acres, 6 miles long and 1 1/2 miles wide, and reaches a depth of 282 ft.

The Sunstone Public Collection Area is only free public place in Oregon where you can collect sunstones for personal use. Managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), this site is located in the northern part of the Rabbit Basin in Warner Valley, 23 miles north of Plush.
