However, several manufacturers introduced them around the same time so it is tough to know who created these fun products. The hoverboard is believed to have originated from the Shenzhen region of China, which is known for its electronics manufacturing. But the inspiration for hoverboards came from Back To The Future movie, which was released in 1985. However, not many people can ride it like one and only Marty McFly.
