In her own words

Lisa Rowntree, wife, mother of 4 adult kids, grandmother of 4 sweet babies and farmer. I’ve been married to Jim for 36 years and together we have successfully grown our olive oil business to a point where we have over 100,000 olive trees and produce around 200,000 litres of Extra Virgin Olive Oil annually. We live in rural South Australia and love it.

I am a strong believer in being a person who effects change rather than just complaining about a situation. I’m involved with many local community groups, the local school, local Government (as a Councillor) and have been the CEO of our industry Association as well as President of the State Association. I was the 2005 SA Winner of the Rural Women’s Award and since covid, I’ve thrown myself into politics as well.

I’ve made it a mission to better understand the rules and theatre of politics. It’s through having a better understanding of how the game is played that a person can best position themselves help change things they don’t like.

I do not believe in mandates, forced vaccinations, restrictions on travel, vaccine passports etc. I believe in a person being able to choose the life they live, within the bounds of a lawful society. What’s happened to our country (and the world) since 2020 has been nothing short of hideous.

I enjoy reading White Papers, Bills, Legislation, Court Documents etc as I find this is where the truth of a matter sits, rather than the spin given to us by mainstream news outlets. This is all very time consuming and most people are time poor, but it’s where I chose to spend my time as it helps me to understand things more clearly.
