Al Gore Blames 'Election Denial and Climate Denial' on Algorithms, Calls for 'Collective Discourse'

Al Gore launches into an unhinged diatribe against "the new media":

"The basic flow of information is twisted and distorted... These algorithms on the websites, for example. You've heard the word rabbit holes... When people click on something and they like it... pretty soon they're slipping down that rabbit hole."

"And you know what's at the bottom of the rabbit hole? That's where the echo chamber is... That's where election denial and climate denial come from."

"We have to return to a form of collective decision making that is based... on the search for truthfulness and the collective discourse that will allow us together to find the best way forward."
