Billionaire Michael Bloomberg appears to be behind The Onion's attempt to take over InfoWars, as one of the projects that he founded called "Everytown for Gun Safety" would have been the primary advocacy organization working with The Onion and had signed a multi-year advertising agreement for the new platform.

The strange part of all of this is that of hundreds of articles written about this attempted acquisition, almost none of them mention Michael Bloomberg
