This is the heart-warming moment a community protection officer was captured on camera safely escorting a family of ducks across a busy road in a city centre.

Will Neave leapt into action when he spotted the mother mallard and her ducklings precariously close to tram tracks in Nottingham city centre.

The caring officer can be seen stopping traffic on Weekday Cross and using his hat to usher the birds safely across the road on Saturday (30/6).
