The drive shaft found on most late model Arctic Cat snowmobiles (not just the Catalyst, but several years of ProCross models) holds a hidden secret: The bearing on the brake side of the shaft is pressed on, but may not fit tightly. There's no way to know for sure unless you take the drive train apart and check it. If the bearing spins on the shaft, it will wear out both the bearing and the drive shaft, but potentially much more. In this video, I'll show you a very quick and fairly inexpensive way to make sure the bearing doesn't spin on the shaft, preventing its early demise.
