"It starts with the right hand..."
Orthodox Icon Artist and Writer Jonathan Pageau describes the traditional theological meaning of Satan as less of an external villain, and more as the spirit of pride and self-righteousness which ripples into polarization, atomization, leading to the destruction of the world.
It's the dividing aspect... Satan means the opponent.. devil means the divider, or the accuser... let's say we're all together united... in God, but in order for there to be things that exist there always has to be multiplicity ... but it's joined together in a pattern towards unity.
The devil will pull you away from multiplicity and divides the body into its elements. ...
You could say that the fall ... (of balance) starts with an excess of yang (expressive, energetic, projective principle) ... where it's 'I've got it all'. It's pride ... it's arrogance, that's the beginning (of polarization).
It's too much of one and then that leads to too much of the other.
The Significance of the Inverted Pentagram:
The regular pentagram has a point at the top and comes down to 4 other points ... you have unity (above) forming multiplicity (underneath).
Satanists believe that unity comes from multiplicity ... that there is no eternal and divine order, so you have this inverted pentagram... that the truest aspect comes from the world (materialism)...
Worship of worldly achievement and striving for the triumph of the self most often invades our consciousness through self-righteous indignation, first in each individual, but manifesting broadly with the political dialectic which has manipulated the public for centuries to divide and to conquer us.
Forgiveness of others does not exclude action to correct a situation, but rather ensures victory by overcoming possession by Satan, the devil, regarding our own weakness as paramount before others' thus protecting one's own soul from degradation of pride and wrath.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
Those who delight in the slaughter of people will never thrive with all things under heaven
