Berlin based Yasemin Acar is a Kurdish-Turkish human rights activist and a long-time advocate for Palestine. Born into resistance, she has an unwavering commitment for fighting for justice for all people. During the Ukraine invasion Yasemin mobilized 15,000 volunteers and founded Berlin Arrival Support advising the Berlin Senate on refugee issues. She is also a member of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. In the wake of the Bundestag's resolution titled "Never Again is Now: Protect, Preserve and Strengthen Jewish life in Germany", Yasemin Acar gave Melanie Steliou a first hand account of police brutality and state repression in Germany.

" Guilt is a luxury of the white man." she says and " Central to the harsh prosecution of pro- Palestinian activists is a nationwide guilt-washing, using Germany's responsibility for the holocaust as a facade to justify authoritarian state policy".
