Jesus of Nazareth: Daily Reflections: Day 1 The Prophecies of His Coming

"In Isaiah 9:6-7, the prophet writes:
‘For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on His shoulders.
And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’

Isn’t it incredible that these words were written more than 700 years before Jesus was born? They describe His character and mission with stunning clarity. He is the Prince of Peace, bringing a kingdom unlike any other—a kingdom of justice, righteousness, and love.

This prophecy reminds us of two important truths. First, God is always working, even when we can’t see it. Just as He prepared the way for Jesus, He is preparing the way for His purposes in your life. Second, God’s timing is always perfect. When life feels uncertain, we can trust that His plans for us are good and reliable."
