"Is Magic Johnson an AIDS hero of the 90's?" Channel 2 ACTION News Story (1992)

Firstly I love 80's and 90's ACTION NEWS. Everything is so dramatic and ACTION packed. This story however is more dramatic than action oriented. My man goes on an epic AIDS rant about lifestyles and heroes and such. Tonally, I have no idea what to make of this. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to get out of this rant. Non-sympathy?

Magic Johnson is asking other celebrities to join his anti-aids foundation. Then the reporter goes on a tirade about people deserving of sympathy or not. Hard to determine what exactly is going on without a broader context of the other celebrities. This is a fascinating look of attitudes about AIDS in the 90's. A little time capsule.
