I believe that one of the things that we as orthodox Mormons are called to is to preserve truths of the Restoration that have been discarded. Now while that statement on the surface seems pretty straight forward it actually is a little more complex than we might think. In order to fulfill that part of our mission it requires us to look at what we do and then make the determination that what in our practices are Doctrine versus Tradition, then to complicate the subject even more we have to ask the question is this a good tradition or a harmful tradition. Sometimes identifying what is tradition versus doctrine is really manifested in how we conduct our worship meetings.
