Thinking out loud - we've heard so much about the disputed evidence, which might be what you'd expect in any circumstantial case
But what about missing evidence?
Is there any missing evidence?
Have all the avenues of investigation been explored as we have been led to believe ?
And wouldn't you expect that all avenues of investigation to have been thoroughly explored and discounted prior to any finger pointing and especially prior to any drawer of doom.
