Moray eels are eel-like bony fish that are found in subtropical seas. They are usually brown or black in colour. Moray eels grow to between 17 cm and 4 metres in length. Moray eels live in crevices, caves or coral reefs and usually only leave these at night to hunt. They often have several hiding places up to 200 metres away. Moray eels are predatory fish and therefore feed on other fish and crustaceans. Moray eels lay 200,000 to 300,000 eggs, which are 5 mm in size. In some countries, moray eels are eaten. But moray eels produce some poison in their flesh, so few people are poisoned when they eat very large moray eels. Have you ever seen a moray eel in the flesh?

I am constantly creating videos about mythical creatures and general facts about animals. I would appreciate your support in the form of likes and subscriptions.
