La serie Dinosaur Family cuenta la historia de la familia Silva Sauro, formada por dinosaurios que viven en un mundo moderno:
- Dino: El padre de familia, que trabaja talando árboles para la Corporación Wesayso.
- Fran: La madre de familia, que intenta compatibilizar el trabajo con el cuidado de la casa.
- Bobby: El hijo mayor de la familia.
- Charlene: La hija de la familia.
- Bebé: El niño más pequeño de la familia, mimado y travieso.
- Zilda: la madre de Fran, a quien Dino odia.
La serie fue creada en asociación entre Disney, Jim Henson Company y Michael Jacobs Productions. Debutó en 1991 y fue un éxito mundial a principios de los años 1990.
La serie presentó temas fuertes, como los derechos de las mujeres, el acoso sexual, los derechos LGBTQIA+, los derechos civiles, los trastornos de imagen y el uso de esteroides anabólicos. También abordó discretamente el racismo y los derechos de los pueblos indígenas.
Los personajes eran muñecos animatrónicos y el trabajo de vestirlos era tan complejo que requirió la participación de seis empleados de Henson Creature Workshop.

The Dinosaur Family series tells the story of the Silva Sauro family, made up of dinosaurs who live in a modern world:
- Dino: The father of the family, who works cutting down trees for the Wesayso Corporation
- Fran: The mother of the family, who tries to balance work with taking care of the house
- Bobby: The oldest son of the family
- Charlene: The daughter of the family
- Baby: The youngest son of the family, who is spoiled and mischievous
- Zilda: Fran's mother, who is hated by Dino
The series was created in partnership between Disney, the Jim Henson Company and Michael Jacobs Productions. It premiered in 1991 and was a worldwide success in the early 1990s.
The series presented strong themes, such as women's rights, sexual harassment, LGBTQIA+ rights, civil rights, image disorders and the use of anabolic steroids. It also discreetly addressed racism and the rights of indigenous peoples. The characters were animatronic dolls, and the job of dressing up the characters was so complex that it required the participation of six employees of the Henson Creature Workshop.
Some episodes of the series included parodies of other films, such as Jurassic Park, The Exorcist and The Gulf War.
