Gino Recchia NBC26 Storm Shield Weather Forecast

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for most of the NBC26 viewing area until 11 PM tonight. A line of showers and thunderstorms are capable of producing some large hail and strong winds. The thunderstorms will weaken by midnight. The excessive heat warning for hte area will expire at 7 PM this evening as the cold front will help cool us off on Sunday.  Temperatures tonight will drop into the mid 70s and rise tomorrow into the upper 80s. It wont be as hot but it will still be humid and we have the risk for additional showers and thunderstorms. Some will be strong to severe. The cold front completely moves out of the area by Monday and temperatures will be in the mid 80s. Skies will be mostly sunny.
