Obama Lying About Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)

Barack Obama rallied women in 2008 with promises of finally codifying the right to abortion. At the time it was called the "Freedom of Choice Act" and was a fairly simple law to make clear that women own and control our own bodies. There was no 'gender' ideology component.

In July 2017 he promised "the first thing [he'd] do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act". He stuttered as he said it, because he knew he was lying. By April 2009, once elected (by women!), he stated it was "NOT [his] highest legislative priority".

Republicans are constantly trying to frame Democrats as "radical leftists" but in fact they have been a center-right party for decades.

Obama was more concerned with appealing to the GOP than he ever was in living u =p to his promises to Democrat voters. Same on Garland nomination, continuing the wars, drone bombing an American juvenile without due process and entrenching the censorship regime. None of these are 'leftist' policies.

Now Democrats also will not even talk about codifying Roe's rights for women, without trying to shoehorm in 'gender' ideology garbage with it.
