Right Now in South Africa! Tornadoes and storms destroy many homes in Gauteng
A tornado and strong windstorm have caused extensive damage to infrastructure in the Randfontein and Westonaria areas of Gauteng province. In addition to the tornado, the strong windstorm also hit the city of Middelburg, Mpumalanga province.

Video footage of damage to shopping malls, apartment complexes and houses due to the incident has been widely circulated on social media. With the tornado currently affecting Gauteng and Mpumalanga, a weather warning is in effect until 8pm today and people are advised to avoid travel unless necessary.
