    Seems the wrong dots are being connected. It serves to create a polarizing narrative useful to Marxist agenda - that is, natives are one monolithic group who ALL were victims of another monolithic group who ALL were genocidal settlers. The tribes on the east coast are as different from the tribes on the west coast as the Inuit are from the Inca and as English, from Spanish, from French (the latter having very different approaches and attitudes towards their colonies). But the Marxists revise histories to throw them ALL into the “oppressed” class as though every interaction with Europeans - the so called “oppressor” - was based in conquest. The vast majority of First Contacts were economic and of mutual benefit. Also, the fact that a Métis community exists, demonstrates that Natives and Europeans created LIFE TOGETHER.

    There are spin doctors on both sides for whatever agenda each have. Saying that the trauma was that they missed opportunity to fish and berry pick is grossly spinning the truth. What other things are being spinned? The truth is that St. Josephs was notorious for abuse. This is out of mouth of a catholic woman who wanted to work at the school way back then, but the priest wanted favors from her also, and she did not want to participate so was dismissed, thus this is how some schools were taken over by predators. What is a christian organization doing covering up for predators and their supporters
