Shenandoah (1965)

Directed by Andrew V. McLaglen, is a poignant Civil War drama centered on a fiercely independent Virginia farmer, Charlie Anderson (played by James Stewart). Determined to keep his family out of the conflict, Charlie soon finds his ideals tested as the war encroaches on his land and his loved ones.
