Thanksgiving 2024: Grateful Hearts, Generous Hands

8

In this Thanksgiving sermon from 1 Chronicles 29:10-22, we reflect on God’s sovereignty, provision, and faithfulness. David’s prayer reminds us that all we have comes from God’s hand, calling us to respond with gratitude through giving and worship. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are invited to offer our lives as living sacrifices, joyfully praising the Triune God for His abundant blessings and the gift of salvation through Christ.

Contemplate these questions as you listen to this Thanksgiving message:
1. How does acknowledging God’s sovereignty and provision challenge the cultural tendency to see ourselves as self-made or autonomous?
2. In what ways can we tangibly express our gratitude to God through giving, whether with our resources, time, or lives?
3. How does joyful and faithful worship flow naturally from recognizing the blessings God has given us, especially the gift of salvation in Christ?
