Everyone needs to read Democracy in America by Alexis De Tocqueville. It's in paper back and it will help you understand why we are where we are in American politics.

Some would say History writes itself but little do they know. Step by step, action by action, moment by moment, word by word, man moves forward leaving History behind. One day at a time. Many have written about History and recoreded it in many forms for reference and future man. Like a mans word this History is only as good as the man writing it. What is so hard to understand is how having so much of a wealth in the life and lessons in History man repeats the very mistakes learned by his forefathers. Not unlike a broken record turning in circles. Man with no compass. There is but one book that has withstood the tests of time. No other book has ever come close. Gods Word in print. The Book of Life. Mans Compass of True Direction. The problem is so many have not learned how to read this Great Compass. Leaving them lost and tossed about in satans secular world ocean like a piece of driftwood. Landing on a distant beach, swayed by the local elements only to be taken out by the next tide into the storms of life. God gave us TEN COMMANDMENTS yet man knows not. Disobedience brings death. Gods Word shows us the way as well as the lessons of yesterday. Why can we not learn the entire lesson? Why can we not live as the Bible teaches? As it is written so shall it be. Selah
