yeah I've never bought into the left's arguments for the ban, but the right's? Sure, going back to the Trump admin they were pretty strongly in the camp of this is a Chinese CCP-owned app, they're our enemy, and they're absolutely using it to subvert our society. Were we able to capitalize on the tool for this election cycle? Sure, but that's beside the point, and Trump is a unique person who is going away after this cycle. We're already talking about banning Chinese ownership and investment in certain industries, but b/c this is seemingly tied to a platform which is about "speech" we can't do that? All that to say, I'm not against banning CCP-owned apps or requiring them to divest of CCP ownership and investment...but perhaps the way the ban is currently written is too broad.

It's infuriating to listen to Fox and that woman, can't think of her name, but how stupid do you have to be not to realize that two year old was being sent into the hands of pedo's by the parents. As much as I abhor Hustler magazine, I and the SCOTUS upheld their right to be in the public square by virtue of the 1st amendment. The same goes for TicToc, the phone manufacturers have the ability to make a key code so parents can lock out the use of certain apps for kids (that is what the proponents of the ban say) because it is bad for them. I say NO for squashing ANY speech (other than the obvious ones already in place)!

TikTok was spying on the USA that’s what we all got told. Anything with the CCP, should be banned for indefinitely, we won’t let them rule the world !! MAGA ! 🇦🇺🇺🇸🇳🇿

But it is a SECURITY RISK! WHO cares WHAT you CAN use it for! DYNAMITE is VERY useful, but "EVERYBODY" is not allowed to HAVE IT!
