Trump couldn't recess-appoint, even though Thune agreed to do it, because Thune could just pretend he couldn't whip the votes and it wouldn't go to recess, just like it didn't with McConnell. It may have been a different picture with Rick Scott but I doubt it. If Trump could move the RINOs with Scott as Majority Leader, then he could've moved them to vote for Scott. So Thune saying he'd recess appoint was a hollow gesture, because the good men in our govt are surrounded by the enemy.

I used to journal at Red State before they closed the diaries, which was some time in December 2020 so in other words, at the worst possible time when people needed to make our voices heard, they shut it down.

Later they wiped the whole section, years and years of reader-submitted essays. RS is a DS site that was founded by No Name's son-in-law with Republicuck Erick Erickson. I was warned they're DS before I started but they were the only show in town if you wanted other people to see what you wrote. Some of their writers are good, yes. Streiff used to be my favorite and Bill Shipley, and there were others who were ok-to-good.

I had the vague feeling from my first article that the staff were against me and it was coming down on them from higher up (Salem Media owns it), which I'm aware sounds paranoid, but I'm telling you, I'm pretty sure they monitor their site closely and every comment thread. Maybe they feared govt crackdown after I called Biden a rpist, I don't know. But at some point in Nov. after the election my account was weirdly disabled, where I was effectively banned from logging on but it wouldn't tell me, just like twitter, but without even the empty explanation. I mailed, was reinstated and saw someone had manually placed one of my submissions (wordpress) into the trash bin. Not long after, the diaries headlines were taken off the front page, then they disabled the entire section, in the middle of the 2020 election challenges, except for 1 or 2 whitelisted Deep State-friendly writers and the Heartland Institute, and sent a google-esque letter about it being for our own safety, or some BULLSHIT like that. The writer of the email sounded like a nice guy and said we could email him with any questions. After that one guy wrote all the journals for a while, until a couple more were whitelisted, and then it closed and everything was deleted, TWENTY YEARS of reader journals GONE.

The other thing they used to do (besides pressuring commenters to tow the company line and talking crap about Gateway Pundit WHO PUBLISHED THE NEWS RS SUPPRESSED) was attach AI photos to my articles that counter-messaged me, and they did that several times, for example when I wrote that George Floyd's real toxicology report showed him dying from drug overdose, NOT being choked. Red State attached the leftist meme picture of Floyd with Officer Chauvin (his co-worker)'s knee on his neck.
