D2 - 11/24-25/2024, South Wales, UK
Storm Bert caused severe flooding across the United Kingdom, with hundreds of homes submerged and partial disruptions to rail transport. At least five people lost their lives. Residents in some areas were forced to temporarily leave their homes due to the risk of landslides. People expressed dissatisfaction with the authorities' response, stating that they were poorly prepared for the storm's impact.

D3 - 11/24-25/2024, West Midlands, England, UK
Streets were flooded, roads were closed, and traffic came to a halt as Storm Bert continued to impact the West Midlands. The town of Tenbury Wells was especially hard-hit by the flooding. The market town in Worcestershire was left under 13 feet of water after a wall collapsed when the River Kyre Brook overflowed its banks.

D4 - 11/24-25/2024, Northamptonshire, England, UK
Storm Bert brought heavy rainfall to England. In Northamptonshire, flooding was reported in numerous areas. All trains passing through Northampton Station were suspended on the morning of November 25th after the River Nene overflowed, causing widespread flooding of the railway and surrounding areas.

D5 - 11/27/2024, Tornadoes in Europe
Increased air moisture from ocean evaporation is intensifying hydrometeorological events such as tropical hurricanes, storms, tornadoes, abnormal temperatures, heavy precipitation, and flooding. In Europe, there has been a notable trend of increasing tornado occurrences from 1970 to 2023. The annual count has risen from about 45 tornadoes in the 1970s to over 800 per year from 2014 to 2023—a staggering 18-fold increase. Tornadoes and hurricanes are now occurring in regions where they were previously unheard of, causing significant economic losses.
Unfortunately, tornadoes are also taking a toll on human lives.
