Police arrest man who fired shots into a bar
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The Toledo Police Department announced Tuesday that an officer who shot at a man accused of firing into a local bar was in fact wearing his body camera equipment at the time.
TPD released a video briefing on Friday to detail the events from the shooting on Nov. 17. That briefing, which includes 911 calls and surveillance footage, is available in full in the video at the end of this story. At the time, a department spokesperson said there wasn’t any body camera footage from the officer who fired his weapon because it was charging inside of the patrol car.
On Tuesday, police said the officer who fired his weapon was in fact wearing the camera and the department is reviewing the footage. You can watch part of that body-worn camera footage in the video directly below.
