Thoughts On The Charlie Kirk Jubilee Debate

The debate between Charlie Kirk and several liberal minded college students was a bit disappointing in terms of debate quality. I don't think any minds were changed and the format prevented deep conversation. It was more of a look at the demenor of the students, which was generally hostile, arrogant, and at times angry. There were a few respectful debaters in the group, to be fair, but they weren't the highlights nor did they get a lot of debate time. I suppose that's how things go on the internet. The most thrilling, violent, and in your face content is what sells. I thought it was unfortunate how disconnected the two sides were. There was very little common ground. What seems important to liberal college students is Abortion, Equity, and racial diversity.
