Cool Features of the Kahr X9: Kahr's First Double Stacked Sub-Compact That Takes P365 & Hellcat Mags

Hi, I’m John Howard with Kahr Firearms Group. This is at Shot Show and we have a pistol that our fans have been waiting for a long time. This is the X9, which is our first double-stack 9mm handgun. The X9 kind of has some unique features that set it apart from his competition.

One of the coolest ones that people really like is that we have our own 10-round magazine that comes with the gun, and it will also ship with a 15-round extended magazine. But in addition to that, if you already have 365 magazines, they will fit and function in our gun. We’ll offer a spacer kit that you can use to adapt for the gun to fit the grip space and the Hellcat magazine works as well. Beyond that, we did all of our guns optics-ready of course, everyone wants that now with the RMSC footprint.

The trigger is a little bit different from the traditional trigger we have. It has a longer pull like people are used to but with a very short reset, and we hear our customers and we’ll also offer a trigger that has a short reset and short pull. So you’ll be able to get two different options of that.

A picatinny rail: we did some contouring of the slide and we minimized the front cocking serrations for concealed carry comfort. We did a defense dip on the back because we know a lot of people appendix carry and that facilitates an easy draw and the takedown is lever-based unlike the way our previous guns were. This is the first in a family of firearms. So you can expect to see other sizes in the X9 family and other calibers down the road. So, this is John Howard with Kahr.
