Fighting for Shrewsbury's Voice: MBTA Zoning Petition Update

I spent 2.5 hours outside my local grocery store collecting signatures for a petition that would give Shrewsbury residents the chance to vote on whether our town becomes an MBTA-zoned community. This isn’t about supporting or opposing the zoning—it’s about ensuring such a critical decision isn’t left to just a handful of Select Board members.

The response was revealing. Many hardworking residents want their voices heard, even if they don’t know all the details. But some, primarily woke elites over 50, opposed holding an election, seemingly to protect their own interests.

The good news? The majority supports the idea of democracy and giving the people the power to decide.

If you live in Shrewsbury, MA, you have until December 2nd to sign the petition. Don’t miss your chance to stand up for your community and make your voice count!"
