Lord of the Rings dwarven inspired axe. I think this was the 3rd axe I made, and the first attempt at an actual character likeness. I ground it and cut it down to resemble the shape of Gimli's axe. The map of Lonely mountain is from the Hobbit.. The shapes in the leather are from Thorin Oakenshields bow, and also the hog symbol from the Iron Hills dwarves shields from the hobbit. The runes say my friends name in dwarf runes.
