In 1151, After the Gathering part 2, Reverend Nick Catania continues a series on The Kingdom of God. We've been looking at the occurances of the kingdom of God and what it entailed in the Old Testament. There are many scriptures that relate themselves to this topic. If you don't have an understanding of this kingdom and the coming kingdom, you'll never understand the completeness of the scripture. In this session we see that the kingdom belonged to the Lord. Solomon was chosen by God and he was to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the Lord to rule over Israel on God's behalf. The Lord God gave the kingdom over Israel to David forever by a covenant of salt. The Kingdom was given to David and his successors forever. We see how this was passed to Jesus in Luke 1 and he is to rule over the house of Jacob forever and there will be no end to his kingdom. The prophesies of the kingdom were well known in the old testament and the gospels and were preached about more than any other subject.
